Jack graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in philosophy in 2012 after studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a year.  He went on to earn his law degree with distinction from the University of Iowa in 2016.  At law school, Jack spent two years working in the University of Iowa Legal Clinic’s immigration office and earned the Michelle R. Bennett Award for Client Service.  He also interned with the Public Defender’s Office in Iowa City, and helped create a guide to potential immigration consequences for Iowa criminal convictions through the school’s Advanced Immigration Law and Policy seminar.

Prior to joining Vondra & Malott, PLC, Jack worked as an associate attorney at an immigrant-centric law firm in Omaha, NE, just outside the district’s immigration court.  He worked primarily in removal defense, but also represented clients in Iowa and Nebraska criminal, family law and probate cases.  Jack also continued work on a case from the University of Iowa Legal Clinic, eventually arguing it before the Supreme Court of Iowa.

Jack is licensed to practice law in both Iowa and Nebraska, and is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association.
